- Measure the length and height of the space where you want to hang the curtains. Buy curtains that are long enough to cover that area.
- Choose soundproof curtains made from insulating materials such as acoustic foam or fiberglass. You can also find soundproof curtains that are lined with an extra layer of soundproofing material.
- Attach a curtain rod at the desired height using appropriate rod brackets. If you’re unsure about the right height, a good rule of thumb is to place the rod a few inches above the window frame.
- Attach the curtain hooks to the rod according to the manufacturer's instructions. Make sure the hooks are strong enough to support the weight of the curtains.
- Hang the curtains on the hooks. Make sure the curtains are properly aligned and that the folds are even.
